Theatre Deli Hire Agreement This hirer agreement is applicable to all bookings made through CurvingRoad (hereafter Theatre Deli), through Theatre Deli’s websites, online booking system and by email with Theatre Deli staff, including those at spaces Theatre Deli operates directly, and any operated by third parties. The spaces operated by Theatre Deli exist with the aim of creating a diverse artistic community. Our hire policy exists to ensure that the inhabitants of the spaces work in a safe and comfortable environment. We therefore require all hirers of the spaces to read and ensure they adhere to the following terms. The listed prices are subsided for individual artists, small groups, small charities and small theatre companies. If you are interested in booking these spaces for corporate events, other rates will apply. Please contact [email protected]. By confirming your booking with Theatre Deli, you agree to adhere to the following hirer policy. The terms of this agreement apply regardless of discount to space hire or provision of space ‘in-kind’ or without charge. Within this policy the term ‘users’ refers to all hirers and their guests. Hirers are responsible for ensuring that they and all guests in their group are aware of the appropriate terms of this agreement and are responsible for the conduct of all guests in their group during their booking. Any exceptions to the terms of this hire agreement are only valid if agreed by Theatre Deli staff in writing. BOOKING TIMINGS Bookings are available to begin and end on the hour (i.e. 1pm-2pm), for the full hour. Some times at some venues are only available as a block (i.e. an evening booking at 7-9pm). Your booking time includes all set up and clear down time. Please factor this in when booking. It is important that your session finishes on time as others may be using the room after you. Please end your session with enough time to leave the studios at the venue’s closing time. We reserve the right to interrupt you to give notice of studios closing. When rehearsing late in the evening, users must leave the premises quietly, and respect our neighbours. We reserve the right to add additional charges for any over-run bookings in the space, early access We encourage all hirers to read the accessibility information below and contact reception ahead of their booking if they or any guests in their group have any questions or concerns about using any Theatre Deli spaces. USING THE SPACE Please ensure you leave the space clean and tidy. Hoovers and cleaning materials are available for you to use should your space need cleaning after you have finished your session. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the studios tidy for other users. No items may be left in the room. We reserve the right to add additional charges for left items or rooms/areas left in an unclean state. Any damage to the space or mess left as a result of you or your guests' use will result in the cost of repair being added to your booking, which will include the time and labour required to restore the space. Any deliberate damage or vandalism by hirers or their guests will be recharged as above, and additionally Theatre Deli reserves the right to refuse entry to the venue to any individuals responsible. Users must observe all signage and remain in venue areas occupied and managed by Theatre Deli. Please do not wander through other parts of the building or disturb other occupiers. No smoking is permitted in the building or any of the fire exits at any time. Smoking areas can be found outside each of our spaces. Please observe any signage designating areas in which smoking is, or is not, permitted. NOISE The spaces operated by Theatre Deli are 'meanwhile-use spaces' and are not purpose-built rehearsal rooms. Due to this, only certain studios are available for music, musical instruments, singing and recorded sound – these are noted on the online form when booking. If music, instruments, singing or recorded sound are used in any other studios and prove disturbing to others, we reserve the right to ask for equipment to be turned down or off and volume levels to be respected. The rehearsal spaces in the building are often close together; please show courtesy to others in the premises by keeping noise to an acceptable level. Persistently loud noise during a booking that is incompatible with the normal hire of our studios will incur cancellation by Theatre Deli. BOOKING CONFIRMATION A deposit payment of 50% is taken at the time of booking. The balance must be paid by the final day of your booking. Unless otherwise directed, payment of balance will be processed automatically on the final day of the booking with the payment method used for the deposit. CANCELLATION & AMENDMENT POLICY All cancellation and amendment requests must be made in writing via email to [email protected].We do not take any cancellation or amendment requests over the phone, except as an adjustment for access For short-term and regular bookings: Cancellations and amendments up to ONE WEEK before the start of the booking will be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations and amendments from one week up to 48 HOURS before the start of the booking will not be eligible for a refund of their deposit, but will not be liable for the balance on the booking invoice. Cancellations and amendments less than 48 HOURS before the start of the booking will not be eligible for a refund and will be liable for the full amount on the booking invoice. Bookings that are long-term, i.e. any booking of at least 4 days per week, 8 hours per day, for at least one week made by the same account (on one or more invoices): Cancellations and amendments up to ONE MONTH before the start of the booking will be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations and amendments from one month up to ONE WEEK before the start of the booking will not be eligible for a refund of their deposit, but will not be liable for the balance on the booking invoice. Cancellations and amendments less than ONE WEEK before the start of the booking will not be eligible for a refund and will be liable for the full amount on the booking invoice. RESPECT & INCLUSIVITY Theatre Deli is committed to providing services to everyone, and expect our spaces to be used by a diverse community. We expect all hirers to be respectful and inclusive. Hirers are not to use discriminatory, aggressive, intimidatory, bullying, or harassing language or behaviour whilst at the venue, and Theatre Deli reserves the right to suspend or cancel any activity which conflict with its values of respect and inclusion. SAFEGUARDING Theatre Deli is fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of all people who come into contact with the charity. Our full Safeguarding Policy can be found here: https://www.theatredeli.co.uk/safeguarding. All third party hirers have a duty to minimise the risk of harm during their booking. By making a booking with us, you agree to: Inform and liaise with our Designated Safeguarding Lead regarding any harm or risk of harm to any person they become aware of before, during, or following their booking. Ensure that someone onsite is made aware, and make contact with Theatre Deli’s Designated Safeguarding Lead at [email protected]. The Board Safeguarding Lead is can be reached at [email protected]. Ensure (if you represent a company, charity or other incorporated body) you have all relevant insurance in place for your activity including employers’ liability insurance and public liability insurance. Hirers are additionally required to disclose whether they are working with children or vulnerable adults at the time of booking. If you are working with children, young people or vulnerable adults you must: Ensure you have a robust safeguarding policy in place, and DBS certificates (issued within a two-year period) where required. Follow their own safeguarding policies and procedures, and adhere to the terms and procedures of our Safeguarding Policy, bringing any relevant difference of approach to the attention of our Designated Safeguarding Lead. Where the hirer is a charity, they must provide the name and contact details of their Designated Safeguarding Lead to our Designated Safeguarding Lead. THEATRE DELI LEADENHALL STREET Ground Floor & Mezzanine, 107 Leadenhall Street, EC3A 4AF Opening Hours: Monday - Saturday 10am - 10pm Contact: 020 3 735 3771, [email protected] Please note we are closed on Sundays. Studios users will not be permitted to enter Theatre Deli Leadenhall Street before 9.45am. Everyone who enters Theatre Deli Leadenhall Street must sign in at reception. This is part of our fire safety policy and provides for our community's safety. The studios have access to a kitchen on the mezzanine level. Please make sure all kitchenware has been washed up. We do not provide secure storage space for your rehearsal props and belongings, but do have lockers available for hire for small items - this involves a £5 cash deposit for a key for the entire locker, which is refundable on return of key. Locker hire fees must be paid for upfront and are non-refundable. Items must be removed and keys returned on the last day, or an additional fee will be charged. THEATRE DELI CROSSHARBOUR 4th, 5th (Kitchen) and 6th Floors, 5 Greenwich View Place, London E14 9NN Opening Hours: Monday - Friday 9.30am - 5.30pm Please be mindful and respectful of other companies and staff working within the building. Please note that Theatre Deli Crossharbour is not staffed at all times, and so all bookings at this site are subject to an induction to be arranged with Theatre Deli Staff. You must only be onsite as part of your group. Lone working at Theatre Deli Crossharbour is expressly forbidden for health and safety reasons. The studios have access to the 5th floor kitchen, please abide by the rules of the shared kitchen at all times In the event of any alarm, please ensure you and your group evacuate the building promptly via the emergency routes shown to you, and immediately contact 020 3 735 3771 in the event of any emergency. Secure storage of items is not guaranteed and only the storage of show-related props, costume or set is recommended during your booking. Kitchen Rules The 5th floor kitchen is a shared use space, you are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare and eat hot drinks or food, please only consume items that you have brought to the venue yourself. You are welcome to use the kitchen as a break room but be aware that noise levels must be kept to a respectful level for the other companies working on the 5th floor. You will see a sign that designates which side of the counter top has items/equipment belonging to another company within the building. Please do not use this company's equipment. The large silver fridge is available for your use to store food items you have brought with you to Theatre Deli Crossharbour. Please make sure to tidy up after yourselves at all times.
