Kate Roche

Kate Roche is Press and Public Affairs Manager for the Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre. She is responsible for designing and implementing press and public affairs strategies to promote the work and policy priorities of SOLT & UK Theatre and for representing, championing and supporting the UK theatre sector. She previously spent six years as Public Affairs Advisor at the Advertising Standards Authority building and maintaining relationships with key political stakeholders and providing political intelligence and analysis to senior colleagues.

Kate is also an emerging playwright and one of the 2024/25 cohort of the London Library Emerging Writers Programme. She won Second Place in the Alpine Fellowship Theatre Prize 2023 for The Yo-yo Path to the Yo-yo Pool. She has had two short plays staged at the Tower Theatre in Stoke Newington.
